Medical Scribe – Orthopedic Surgery Specialists Clinic – Full-Time, Days Work location: 2900 1-35 North, Suite 200, Denton, TX 76201 Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday through Thursday, 8:00am – 5:00pm; Friday 8:00am – 2:00pm Orthopedic Surgery Specialists Clinic Highlights Team Oriented Great Benefits Bonus Opportunities What You Need High School Diploma or equivalent (required) Certified Medical Scribe (CMA) within 90 days (required) 1-2 years Scribe experience (strongly preferred) Orthopedic experience (preferred) Proficiency in typing, coding information, and documentation elements Ability to identify mistakes or inconsistencies in medical reports and work with providers to correct Knowledge of examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures Positive, caring attitude towards patients Good computer skills using a medical management application Strong work ethic and professionalism What You Will Do Under the direction of the physician and practice manager, translate medical procedures and diagnoses discussed during treatments or visits into accurate documentation Accompany the provider, as allowed by patient consent and confidentiality requirements Record and document patient visits and procedures and sign all documentation placed in the medical record while scribing Review documentation for accuracy and completeness in accordance with practice guidelines Assist in completing charts by transcribing lab, x-ray, or consultation results and other pertinent data into appropriate data fields Record consultations or discussions with families and other medical or non-medical specialty services Record diagnoses, discharge instructions, prescriptions, and follow-up instructions Perform other duties as assigned by the practice manager or physician Additional Perks Of Being a Texas Health Employee Benefits include 401k, PTO, medical, dental, Paid Parental Leave, flex spending, tuition reimbursement, Student Loan Repayment Program, and additional benefits Delivery of high quality patient care through nursing education and practice innovations Strong Unit Based Council (UBC) Supportive, team environment with opportunities for growth About Texas Health Physicians Group Texas Health Physicians Group includes more than 1,000 physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants dedicated to quality, patient-safe care at more than 240 offices in the DFW Metroplex.
