Medical Assistant/Scribe Dermatology West Jordan

Granger Medical Clinic has an immediate opening for a full-time Medical Assistant to work at our West Jordan location. Ability to speak Spanish is preferred.

Job Overview: Dermatology Medical Assistant (with MOHS Experience):

We are seeking experienced Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior exposure to MOHS surgery and be well-versed in sterile procedure techniques. In addition to traditional medical assistant duties, this role will also serve as a scribe, supporting physicians with accurate and timely documentation.

Pay: $18 - $22/hour (based on experience, education, and skill level)

Schedule:

• Monday Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• 1 - 2 years of Medical Office experience preferred
• High School Graduate or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Excellent customer service skills able to communicate courteously and effectively to patients.
• Must be dependable, flexible, and multi-task oriented.
• Enjoy working with people, being a team player and willing to help others with tasks.
• Must be able to read, communicate and write well in English.
• Must be able to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing with Physicians, clinic staff and patients.
• Additional languages helpful - Spanish speaking preferred.

Essential Functions and Duties:

• Record all demographic information necessary to contact patients and do prior authorization for medications and procedures.
• Prepare patients for exams and supply the provider with all relevant information (lab results, vital signs, medications, allergies).
• Communicate with patients regarding their appointment scheduling and other needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Standing and walking for extended periods, Lifting up to 50lbs.
• Repetitive motion associated with operating a computer and other office equipment.
• Inside, climate-controlled working conditions.
