Job Description

Social Worker - LCSW

The Visiting Psych Service of New York is looking to hire psychotherapists to provide psychotherapy to individuals with developmental disabilities. Our patients are located throughout the 5 boroughs of New York City, Yonkers, and Long Island. Psychotherapists will be assigned to work within specific areas such as the Bronx, Staten Island, Nassau County, etc.

Psychotherapists must be able to provide Tele-therapy and travel on-site.

Responsibilities:

Establish open lines of communication for individuals with mental or emotional issues
Offer assistance to individuals with substance abuse issues
Provide prevention-oriented therapy
Implement and review treatment plans
Collaborate with additional treatment providers and placement agencies
Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner

Qualifications:

Previous experience in mental health counseling or other related fields
Familiarity with community mental health resources
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Ability to build rapport with clients
Strong leadership qualities
