Job Description

ASRC Federal is expanding our US Department of Agricultural portfolio and has opportunities nationwide. Experience with government contracting, specifically in "rural development" is strongly desired. ASRC Federal is seeking a strong Project Manager to help support a USDA contract focusing on loans and grants. This ideal candidate will have experience with managing a team (at least 10-12), customer interaction, reporting and managing deliverables. Will work across domains in the Rural Development Utilities and Housing Markets to provide leadership services at the task level.

Location: Remote (ability to travel when necessary)

Clearance: Must be able to pass a government issued background check

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the goals of the division including coordination of activities between multiple stakeholders and individual project teams, giving detailed attention to the program strategy, outcomes, and goals, and ensures successful program implementation.
  • Work closely with the Program Manager to meet contract deliverables.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to identify goals, develop best practices for data collection, and analyze current processes.
  • Responsible for resource allocation; technical and management oversight; high-level technical expertise; and participation in briefings and meetings.
  • Frequently provide subject matter or functional area expertise in performing technical tasks in addition to fulfilling their management responsibilities.
  • Formulate and enforce standards, assign schedules, review work discrepancies, supervise personnel and communicate policies, purposes, and goals of the organization.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be able to pass a government issued background check.
  • Proven working experience as a project administrator.
  • Experience managing a staff up to 12 employees.
  • Must be adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work with all levels of professionals.
  • Effective communication skills; strong written and verbal communication.
  • Be able to travel if necessary.
Preferred Qualification:
  • Experience working and/or supporting a government agency/contract
  • Experience supporting USDA and/or rural development
  • Experience with loans and grants
