  • New hires are placed on our starting wage scale of $19.95- $23.46 per hour
  • Based on performance, there is room to grow on our full wage scale of $19.95 - $26.92 per hour


Work Schedule: Monday - Friday with occasional Saturdays

As a medical home, Unity Care NW is committed to a patient-centered care team model that engages patients and their families in their care. The Medical Assistant supports daily patient management in our outpatient clinic as part of this multi-disciplinary team & has the opportunity to build relationships with patients in an inclusive, collaborative work environment.

As a Medical Assistant Apprentice, you will receive 12 months/2000 hours of on-the-job PAID practicum with supplemental coursework and lab days. After successful completion of the program, you will qualify for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam through the National Health Career Association then be eligible to apply for the MA-Certified certification through the Washington State Department of Health (DOH).

Requirements:


  • Timely completion of WA State's Application for Apprenticeship and Apprenticeship Agreement (if hired)
  • Commitment to working at UCNW as a Medical Assistant for a minimum of one year following successful program completion, testing and licensure as long as you remain in good standing as an employee
  • Available to start on Monday, July 10, 2023, and attend the state's virtual kickoff meeting on Friday, July 14, 2023

Preferred Qualifications

  • Be a UCNW employee in good standing for at least one year – exception may be made upon approval
  • Experience in the health care field
